Legal Agreement
Terms of Service
Administrative operating draft. Last updated: June 17, 2026. These terms govern your use of this registry website and any credentials issued.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By visiting this site, requesting ordination, generating a certificate, using referral links or Sacred Roll features, using the Portrait Booth, making an offering, or otherwise interacting with the Multiversal Church of Life, Death and the Unborn, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree, do not use the site or its materials.
2. Nature of the Church
The Church is a symbolic, ceremonial, artistic, and devotional project. Its language, rituals, ordinations, certificates, seals, titles, registry entries, and related materials are intended for personal, expressive, memorial, artistic, and ceremonial use.
Nothing on this site creates legal, governmental, clerical, medical, financial, tax, marriage officiant, nonprofit, charitable, or other official authority. You are responsible for confirming whether any use of Church materials is permitted in the place and context where you use them.
3. Ordination and certificates
To request ordination, you must confirm that you accept these Terms and Conditions and agree to uphold the values of the Church.
Ordination certificates are symbolic records. A certificate may include the name and email address you submit, a certificate identifier, and the date of issue.
The Church may refuse, correct, suspend, revoke, or reissue a certificate where reasonably necessary to protect the site, prevent fraud or abuse, correct errors, comply with law, or preserve the integrity of the registry.
You may not represent a Church certificate as a government license, state-recognized credential, legal authorization to perform marriages, tax-exempt status, employment qualification, medical credential, or any other official authority.
4. Referrals, invitations, and the Sacred Roll
Ordained ministers may receive a referral code or link that can identify later ordination requests as having arrived through that minister's invitation. Referral credit, ranks, titles, counts, leaderboard positions, and Sacred Roll entries are symbolic project features only. They have no cash value, property value, employment value, clerical authority, revenue share, commission, equity, prize, guarantee, or entitlement.
Referral credit is not guaranteed. Credit may be missing, delayed, corrected, removed, limited, reset, or refused if a code is invalid, cleared, unavailable, affected by technical error, connected to abuse, or otherwise inconsistent with the integrity of the registry.
You may share a referral link only in a lawful, honest, non-deceptive, and non-harassing way. You are responsible for your own invitations, posts, messages, flyers, ads, and other referral activity, including compliance with platform rules, marketing laws, anti-spam rules, privacy rules, and endorsement or disclosure requirements.
If you receive or may receive referral credit, rank, public recognition, access, perks, or any other benefit from sharing a referral link, you must make that connection clear wherever required by law or platform rules. Do not imply that the Church, any government, any religious authority, or any official institution has approved your message unless you have written authorization.
You may not use referrals for spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, automated account creation, fake ordinations, self-referrals, purchased or traded ordinations, misleading incentives, impersonation, scraping, manipulation of the leaderboard, or any activity designed to inflate referral counts dishonestly.
If you opt into the Sacred Roll or otherwise use public referral features, you authorize the Church to display your chosen public name, referral code, referral count, rank, and related public leaderboard information. The Church may edit, hide, remove, suspend, or decline any referral profile, public name, count, rank, or leaderboard entry at any time to prevent abuse, reduce legal risk, correct errors, or preserve the project.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site or Church materials for fraud, harassment, impersonation, unlawful discrimination, threats, spam, malware, automated abuse, infringement, privacy violations, or any misleading claim of official power.
You agree not to interfere with the operation of the site, attempt to bypass rate limits, scrape the registry, probe private systems, or submit data that you are not authorized to provide.
6. Offerings and third-party services
Offerings are voluntary support for the project unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. They are not payment for legal status, official authority, guaranteed services, or tax-deductible charitable contributions.
Some offerings or external interactions may be handled by third-party services. Those services are governed by their own terms, privacy notices, and payment rules. The Church is not responsible for third-party platforms except where applicable law says otherwise.
7. Intellectual property and permitted use
The site design, text, seals, graphics, certificate artwork, registry language, and related creative materials belong to the Church project or its licensors, except for materials owned by others.
You may use your own issued certificate and referral flyer for personal, non-commercial, ceremonial, memorial, expressive, and portfolio purposes, provided you do not remove disclaimers or use them deceptively. Other uses require written permission.
8. No warranties
The site and all Church materials are provided as-is and as-available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Church disclaims warranties of accuracy, uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, legal effect, merchantability, and non-infringement.
The Church does not promise that the site will be error-free, secure against every risk, always available, or accepted by any person, institution, platform, government, venue, or ceremony.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Church and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, reputational, emotional, data-loss, business-interruption, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the site or Church materials.
Where liability cannot be excluded, the total liability of the Church and its operators will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid directly to the Church for the affected service in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Church and its operators from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the site, your referral activity, your violation of these Terms, your submitted information, or your misleading use of Church materials.
11. Changes, suspension, and termination
The Church may update these Terms, change or discontinue site features, suspend access, or remove materials at any time. The updated Terms apply when posted unless the update states otherwise.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and dispute provisions, will survive.
12. Governing law and disputes
Unless applicable law requires a different rule, these Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's principal place of operation, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Before filing a formal claim, each side agrees to make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute through written notice and direct discussion.
13. Legal review
These Terms are a public operating draft for the Church project. They should be reviewed by qualified counsel before being relied on for incorporation, tax exemption, fundraising, regulated services, international operations, or any official religious or nonprofit status.
